Arrived in Port Canaveral on 10/22/06 for our 7 night Western Caribbean cruise. RCI picked us up at the airport and bused us to the port. Everything went smoothly and within 15 minutes upon arrival we were on the ship and on our way to the Windjammer for lunch. We then explored the ship until 1 (as you are not allowed into the cabin areas until then). Once we got to our cabin (10th floor mid ship) we put our carry-ons down and went to do some more exploring. We made reservations for Portofinos and Chops. We had dinner our first night at Portofinos and I have to say it was excellent! Our 1st day was at sea and that gave us time to explore and to relax. We understand what people have said about the slowness of the elevators, but that was okay. We walked a lot up and down the stairs as we realized they weren't used as much

1st stop was Labadee, Haiti and it was not what we expected. Had been there 10 years and the water is much polluted now and there is very little life (fish) left in the area. We still had a good time as we did the walking tour and the powerboat thrill ride. The walking tour was very educational. If going swimming at Labadee I do recommend water shoes as the shoreline (in the water) is very rocky. 2nd stop was Ocho Rios Jamaica and didn't do a lot here. Did go shopping (some great buys) and scuba diving. I do not recommend the taxi at all on Ocho Rios as it is not needed. All 3 shopping areas are within walking distance from the pier. 3rd stop was Georgetown Grand Cayman and it was beautiful. We did the Stingray City swim and snorkel and I am sure this is a great excursion, but this day it was not. Was rough waters (could not stand up for long without being knocked down by waves) and too many boats trying to sit on the same sand bar. One boat ran over two people, luckily no one was hurt. But later in the day due to the strong waves one lady got knocked off her feet and stepped on a stingray was she was injured but that is not the cruise lines fault at all. Would try it again on a better day. We then took a taxi to the town of Hell, great advertising ploy there, but sent some postcards to friends and family from there. Then we went shopping, and then back to the ship 4th stop  Cozumel Mexico. Went diving here, was fabulous! I totally recommend it. Also went shopping and got some great buys. Still recovering from the hurricane. But still lovely and would love to go back. Then it was at sea to return to port. We went to several shows while onboard and enjoyed them all. The ice show was great, a must for all! Also on the last day onboard they have a huge sale of merchandise, can get some good buys there

Also when you hear about the Discover Shopping, go to it and purchase the shopping book with the coupons in it. Can get some great stuff free and good buys with it as well. You also learn a lot about each port and what to avoid.
