We have just had a first class experience on the QM2 transatlantic fron NYC to Southampton .
The food in the Britannia was superb as was the service from Anna at table 105 who provided it efficiently and with a smile the whole voyage. The food and the plates were hot which is something that has lacked on our 2 recent cruise on HAL and the food seemed to have been freshly prepared.
Our cabin was a sheltered balcony which wasn't my favourite due to the lack of view when sitting but did make it more useable on a rainy day,but was very attractive decor and well serviced by John our steward.
The formal nights were a delight to see everyone in formal attire and no shorts or jeans visible which seems is a regular thing on most ships these days which lowers the tone of the shp.
QM2 is a magnificent liner with a traditional and beautiful decor with higher ceiling height and a sense of drama on level 2 and 3 which lacks in today's modern ships.
All in all it was first class and I haven't thought that of any of our more recent cruises when most other ships are cutting staff and costs which is making cruising in geneal a big let down and low class.
Good on you Cunard for maintaining tradition ! Will definitely sail Cunard again.
