We traveled the Breeze last week. I was part of a large group of family and friends and overall we enjoyed our cruise.
One of our favorite places was a seating area over the Tides pool. The area provided comfortable, cushioned seating and large umbrellas. It was far enough from the main pool that it was quiet enough for conversation. The pool was unfortunately very small - standing room only and not refreshing since the was quite warm.
The main pool, Beaches was also small and standing room only. One nice feature of this area was cushioned seating on a deck area that overlooked the pool. We used this early in the mornings to watch the large movie screen. Alas, at any other time of the day this area was VERY crowded and VERY loud. Conversation was difficult because of the noise. There are two nice bars and two fast food places located at the Beach pool, all of which were very good. In this area is the water park, the water rides are fun for adults and children alike. More
Sitting right next to the noisy main pool and water park is the Serenity deck for adults. There is comfortable seating in this area along with a bar and hottubs. However, it is often noisy and there are no umbrellas or shaded areas. They have a few large chairs with shade covers, but there are only a few and they were always taken. There is no pool so you have to travel over to the water park or crowded family pool of cool off. Not sure why they would locate a Serentiy deck so close to all the hustle and bustle of a water park, nor why they would not have provided shaded areas and a pool. Even cool showers would have been appreciated,
The food was very good everywhere that we ate (Red Frog Pub, Guys Burgers & the buffet provided good qick food). The buffet is a poorly laid out - two food lines work from side to center and in the center there is a variety of different food items, however that leaves you with two lines of people going in opposite directions criss crossing each other to get the those partcular items, causing a jam up. The buffet was closed in late afternoon - thru 6pm - which makes no sense leaving no place to get a quick snack or early dinner.
We had late seating in the Blush dining room. The food was very good and the service was excellent.
The entertainment in the theater was medicore, the shows were short, it took more time to get in & seated. It was 1st come 1st served seating so we missed some shows due to overcrowding. The comedians were excellent.
The hallways seem narrow and were often crowded. To add to that they set up tables and photographers in the halls, added to the crowded conditions. The Ocean Plaza band was excellent, however the dance floor also serves as a walkway to the side doors. The walkway along the side of the plaza was always crowded with people watching the band.
Getting on and off at the islands was ok. We returned early one day and had to wait to the side of the hall to disembark because they only had one line which handled both those coming and going (back to the narrow hallways). Our initial embarkation was smooth and quick, however leaving on the last day was a little chaotic - people converging from 3 different location right near the door lead to a bit of pushing and shoving, resulting in families being separated on the way out the door. Overall we enjoyed the cruise - none of the things I noted above detracted too much from our fun. Less
The room was nicely laid out with plenty of storage. My only disappointment was that our balcony overlooked the the walkway of a lower floor - there was seating a hot tub and a BBQ stand. It was quite noisy during the day. I prefer a balcony that looks directly down to the sea. As with most cruise cabins there are not nearly enough electricial outlets & none in the bathroom.
We've been to Nassua several times - not too much new to do. We visited Atlantis for lunch (worthy of a visit if you haven't been & it's cheaper to get passes at the resort than to purchase as part of a tour).
