Ship Facts: Norwegian Epic Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Norwegian Epic Deck Plans
first time cruise

boarded the epic in barcelona for are weeks honeymoon an was very impressed at the speed we were all checked in and got to are room in no time at all

The room was very well set out with everything that we would need so so far so good

Had a walk round the boat and was very impressed with what the boat had to offer

Had a drink on deck an then came my first negative, very expensive to drink due to the fact that by the time there tax is added and there auto gratuaty came to nearly $3,so $13 for a bottle an half of lager, now i am not been a tight wad if i wish to tip that should be my choice an then to be forced to tip and again asked if i wish to tip more really peed me off,all the man is doing is serving you a drink an i bet any money they do not receive what is taken off you anyway, this was my main gripe the whole trip as the more expensive the drink the more auto tip you paid as well as asking for additional tip if happy with the service

any how rant over

The trips are expensive but as first time cruisers we felt best to go on them as its orginised for us then,my favorite was the roam trip as the guide was fantastic an very very knowledgable an for me made it what it was

We also did the leaning tower trip as just for the sight to see it an again enjoyed that trip to,beware of pick pockets as caught some one trying to dip a ladys bag in are group an quickly told her where to go

not going to go on about the trips as up to each individual to decide whether they do or do not

Back to the boat, the garden wall eating was good with a lot of choice, granted to be fair was nearly always the same but did have a lot of choice so no complaints for me

The manhatten room is great with very nice dishes an a lovely steak which is better going in there than paying $30 each to go in the steak room,we also tried Taste, which was again good an part of your package

Again my only gripe was all the extras if you wanted to eat anywhere else,my idea of all inclusive is exactly what it says on the tin but alas on this boat, everything else is extra, which is a shame as it would be better if all in

It cost me for two of us with flights an spending nearly 3000 for a week, which to be fair could have had two weeks all inclusive in a top resort for that price

Would i go again?????

yes to be fair,i enjoyed been in a new port every day with differant things to explore

so all in all not the cheapest weeks holiday but will defo be doing it again but will be trying a new company an compare what they have to offer
