30 year Anniversary cruise
Destination: Europe - River Cruise
This was our first river cruise and definitely not our last. We spent a great deal of time with our travel agent researching the various river cruise lines. We selected Uniworld for the following reasons: they had a pool on the Antoinette, they had a butler on this ship, our stateroom had a balcony, the ship was new in the past couple of years, dining was relaxed without formal attire and it was within our price range.
We visited the following Ports: Basel, Colmar, More Kehl/Strasbourg, Speyer, Rudesheim/Bopard,
Koblenz, Cologne & Amsterdam. Our favourite city was Koblenz. Our least favourite city was Amsterdam because of the filth of the rivers and the streets, and the graffiti all over the place. The drugs and some of the people wandering the streets made us very uncomfortable. We were also very aware of the pick pocketers. Less
Very quiet location. Very well equipped. Bathroom needed a larger area for my wife to place her cosmetics. Chairs we too low to the ground and thus were uncomfortable. Beds were very comfortable, but comforters made it too warm for me to sleep with them on me. Would like to have a sheet and a blanket rather than a duvet.
