My wife and I just completed a fabulous 14 night Baltic cruise on board the Celebrity Eclipse. While we have been on over 25 cruises, this was our first experience with Celebrity. Without question, this was the best cruise experience ever.
We had a balcony cabin in the aquaclass level. The stateroom was large and well designed. The shower had 7 heads and was delightful. If it fits within your budget, I highly recommend an aquaclass level cabin. This gives you an upgraded cabin, free access to the private relaxation area with dry and steam sauna, and free access to the Blu specialty restaurant. This restaurant is solely for aquaclass guests.
We ate at the Tuscan specialty restaurant the first night, which was excellent, but after eating at Blu the second night, we went back there for every subsequent night of the cruise. The food presentation and quality was on par with the best restaurants we have dined at. The service was superb. Get there early for incredible floor to ceiling window tables. You also get to enjoy breakfast there with many delicious menu options.
The ships public areas are elegant and sophisticated. The outside and solarium areas where much nicer than any other ship we have been on. All the staff members were pleasant and helpful. The entertainment was great. The activities were ample and well planned. The ipad/iphone and history lectures were unusual for a cruise and were excellent. Even the disembarkation process was excellent (still had to go through the annoying emergency drill on the first day of the cruise, though).
Overall, a phenomenal experience. Highly recommended.
