Ship Facts: Disney Wonder Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Disney Wonder Deck Plans
Alaskan Adventure
We booked everything through Disney which made things very simple (cruise, airline, ground transportation and hotel accomadations the night before). Flew in the day before and then staed at the Waterfront Hotel literally across the street from Canada Place where the ships port. We could see the ships pulling in from our hotel room in the morning.

First day was at sea. Fun to explore the ship. This was my husband and my second disney cruise (first was 4 years ago on the Magic to the western carribean). My in-laws first ever cruise. Our 2 year old had a blast running around and exploring the "Mickey Boat."

Second day technically a port day but you don't get off of the ship. Tracy Arm Fjord was beautify and weather was gracious encough that we got right up close to the glacier. Saw many seals and eagles.

Third day was at Skagway. We did the White Pass railroad excursion. Beautify sceanery. Again weather cooperated well. We worse layers and had a hat and gloves on our son but overall not too bad.

Next day was Juneau. We did Mendenhall glacier and Rainforest tour. The garden tour was very interesting with the upside down tree planters. Then explored the city. COnsidered doing the tramway but thought $30 a person for a 10 minute ride in the fog wasn't worth it.

Ketchican was the best for shopping. We took the free city shuttle to the Totem Heritage Center ($5 pp) and enjoyed the history and seeing how the totems were preserved. This was the best port for shopping. Married Mans trail and creek street were a close walk from the Heritage Center and had many authentic alskan items and art work for sale.

The shows on the Wonder were great. Live "broadway" type shows on 3 nights, 2 variety shows and Monsters University played one night.

We had the early dining rotation and late show which worked out well, our son did fall asleep a couple nights at the show but was wide awake for the Toy Story Musical.

They did have a Pixar Pals party in the Atrium at 4pm and 10pm where the characters danced around. I was in the room with our son but my husband took lots of photos and said it was fun but our 2 year old didn't miss out.

We never used flunders reef nursey but did take advantage of open house times at the oceaners club. Lots of pics with characters. We did get the disk with all of the professional photos and thought it was well worth the expense.
