Sail Date: Jul 2013

My family and I had anticipated this cruise for a long time especially since we had no problems on out previous NCL sailings. We have sailed on RCL (Oasis, Liberty), Carnival (Breeze, Legend), NCL (Jewel,Gem,Epic), and Disney (Magic).

What was supposed to be a nice, relaxing vacation turned out to be the opposite and reflected the true "New York" experience, which this ship is all about. Literally! The New York attitudes from staff, massive crowds, limited space and small tiny rooms and balconies like you would find in a cramped NY apartment. If this is what the NCL head office was going for, they hit the nail right in the head. We hadn't experienced this on previous NCL sailings. The only complaint we had on the Epic was the bathroom lay out and smokiness in the casino, which I guess they hadn't listened to guest comments because on the Breakaway, it was the same deal! On to the review!

Embarkation: Fast, efficient, no complaints. We got there after the rush of the crowds and it all went smoothly.
