Background- we cruised without our children. This was the our 3rd cruise and first on NCL. The other two were Royal and Princess. Our experience will vary from others as we were guests of The Haven on the Breakaway. We had a Spa Suite.

Getting on the ship was easy. There was a separate check in for The Haven, which was much shorter than the other lines, but it did seem like it was disorganized and we were told by others who had stayed in the Haven on the Epic that this was not as good. We were escorted onto the ship in a group of six, there was a designated elevator for the Haven, so no wait. We went directly to the Haven area, which was beautiful, modern looking, and comfortable. We were met by Ryan the concierge who explained that it was busy at that time (understandably) and that for the remainder of the trip it would never be crowded or have a wait for the bar, restaurant or concierge---he was 100% correct. He did take his time to book one reservation for us, despite being busy, because others were booking multiple reservations and backing up the line.Throughout the cruise he assisted us with last minute reservations and changes to our plans without a glitch.

He suggested that we have lunch in the private dining room before going to our suite, it was a great idea and we had a nice lunch. The service in the Haven was incredible, the hosts at the restaurant, Singh and Sandra were great and always helpful with suggestions. They went out of their way to get us anything we needed or wanted. The service in the restaurant was great. and the food was amazing. The bar service in the Haven, was second to none. I cant imagine cruising any other way, we are completely spoiled from the Haven. Read more
