Blissful Baltic Holiday

Sail Date: June 2013
Destination: Baltic & Northern Europe
Embarkation: Stockholm

We enjoyed this cruise immensely. We enjoyed 3 days in Stockholm prior to setting sail and 2 days post cruise in Copenhagen. We really enjoyed the small, luxury feel to the ship. The public areas were lovely, the restaurants & bars were also lovely...always with gracious greetings from maitre d's, servers and barmen.

Embarkation and disembarkation were effortless. We never had a wait for anything...dining...always a table. We dined 5 evenings in the 2 specialty restaurants, and they were both on par with any fine dining restaurant in a major city. The food and service were exemplary. We enjoyed the caviar & champagne service at Aqualina...really special...caviar while in Russia...how special! The Dover Sole at Aqualina and the Lamb & Filet at Prime C were both exceptional. The main dining room, Discoveries, was also terrific...we enjoyed every meal that we we had there and also at Windows Cafe...all first rate & delicious. Pool bars, piano bars, restaurant More bars, cabaret bars were all enjoyable & all with very attentive service.

Our stateroom on the 7th floor was lovely & well-appointed. The balcony was so very nice...we had breakfast delivered to the stateroom on most mornings. Our housekeeping staff was without fault...service 2 times per day.

We booked all shore excursions on-line with the Azamara prior to sailing. All of them were terrific...well managed, great guides, transportation etc. The weather was just wonderful, and the itineray was so very special...a part of the world that we had wanted to visit for some time.

We loved the entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge. Russ Grieve is a terrific entertainer and Cruise Director...each evening's entertainment was so much fun! The AzAmazing Evening at the ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia was SO special! A red carpet arrival to a fabulously restored Russian ballet theatre. The ballet was so enjoyable and also with a champagne reception at intermission. Well done Azamara...such a lovely evening! Very special and very memorable...thank you!

The staff was all just so attentive. We were greeted genuinely...always in hallways, public areas, exiting and boarding the ship...by staff, managers and the cruise director...very hospitable!

We had a terrific cruise...and enjoyed every minute of it. Azamara does a great job of delivering a high quality product with an all-inclusive experience...wine, cocktails, gratuities, etc. There will always be the people for whom "the ice cream is too cold" or "the water is not wet enough"...ignore the pining of these types...and enjoy Azamara...we did!
