We are a family of four and this was our first cruise with Princess.

We loved the layout of the minisuite. It felt like a 2 room suite, and we prefer it to the junior suites of other cruise lines. We enjoyed the daily fresh fruit, the larger bath with full tub, the 2 flat screen tvs, the complimentary champagne and cookies, the robes, the comfortable bedding, and most of all the balcony! (There is nothing like waking up early and opening the slider to the sun rising over a different landscape each morning...or taking a much needed nap on the balcony in the late afternoon to the lull of the waves...or looking at the moon and the stars and feeling the mystery of the black ocean surrounding you at night). We also enjoyed the privacy of the balconies of Emerald deck. We had plenty of sun, but the cover overhead worked really well when it was extremely hot and sunny, when raining, or when we wanted to relax out there in bathrobes in the early morning. We had an aft cabin and could look out at the side or rear of the ship. We occasionally heard some muffled music late at night but were not at all bothered by it and never slept better. We would highly recommend the Emerald minis for a family of 4.

The ship is beautiful. The Piazza was the highlight with its' beautiful decor, bakery scents, classical sounds, and wandering performers.
