What a spectacular cruise it has been! The Norwegian Fjords on the Celebrity Constellation has made our holiday so very memorable. For starters the food onboard was spectacular. Us being vegetarians, the head waiters went out of they way to serve us special Indian meals as and when we requested them. And the quality of the Indian food was just perfect. The raita, papads, pickle and rotis served with the food added the zing to the chana-puri, biryani, palak paneer-paratha and aloo-roti that we were served on the ship. The italian food was yummy too as was the chinese stir fries and sushi that we gorged on each day. The live counters served us made to order pastas, pizzas, salads and stir fries were superb! Made the whole dining experience a pleasure. The daily asian meal buffet too was always complete with dal, rice and pakora. The deserts were stellar each day as were the various ice creams and sorbets that were served to us. The lemonade was my favourite drink. The french fries served on the upper deck with the burgers was always crisp and freshly served. The room service was prompt when placed with an order. The Bistro served the yummiest crepes and paninis. All in all the best food we have ever had on a cruiseline. Clap clap clap for the experience.
The rooms have been newly refurbished. The beds are super comfy. Had read alot of reviews of the curtains. We did have the midnight sun shining on us but we did not have any issues with the blackouts on the curtains. We slept comfortably and the air conditioning was just perfect. The balcony rooms tend to become a little tiny with all the luggage tht we had but once unpacked and put the bags away, the room is lovely. Just loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the beautiful views. We chanced on seeing Dolphins from the balcony one evening which completed the whole balcony experience for us.
The ship entertainment was awesome. We enjoyed all production shows and the singers were fantastic. The arielists were superb! Really enjoyed them perform. Also had the pleasure to attend a back stage tour, which was very informative and interesting. As was the kitchen tour and bridge tour. We made it a point to attend all the evening shows and were very entertained. I liked the fact that the ship was not crazily packed with things to do, giving us plently of valuable free time to lounge on the upper decks with a blanket and the daily crossword to solve or just simply lay down staring at the ever changing stunning scenery. The upper deck ambience was amazing and used to be relatively empty. My husband and kids enjoyed playing TT at the corner of the upper deck with fellow cruise passengers. The outdoor pools were heated as it used to become very cold on alot of days during the cruise. All thumbs up for the Celebrity Constellation.
Great location close to the elevators. No noise at all. The balcony is superb. The room is perfect for 2 but used to get a little crowded when the sofa cum bed used to be rolled out for my son every evening. Other than that very happy with the room.
