Ship Facts: Carnival Splendor Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Splendor Deck Plans
Recommend Splendor

Large ship over 3000 people. Balcony cabin and bathroom good size. Plenty of storage. Note, there is no clock in room and very few on ship. Cell phone will change times so don't depend on it. Balcony doors and cabin doors slam and your neighbors could be rude. Make sure your room is not above the casino entertain area. Cabins around 6371 are noisey.

Nice gym but a bit crowded, Spa and gym run by an outside company. I thought svcs were a bit pricey. Did free classes and used gym for free. Yoga on beach at Half Moon Cay was great. That is a beautiful place. Could have used 2 days there. Oasis Reef and Ray excursion at Grand Turk great. Atlantis Dolphin Exper pricey and only 20min in water 2.45 minutes waititng. Save your money. Nassau, would have preferred not to stop. Big ship, lots of kids. Getting people back on ship took a long time.

This was a family vacation 24 people ranging 20 to a very young 70. One 12yo with us. Would have preferred less kids. Many ship personnel speak little English, bit hard to communicate. Buffet closes around 3 so for late diners keep in mind. Cheers Program worked but has alot of restrictions. Takes a long time to get a drink. Bring one to dinner as you will wait. Food choices a plenty and plenty of it but could be hotter. Not gourmet but overall satisfied. Steakhouse worth the $35. 3 pools and a slide. Pools are small and with all the sun lotion get cloudy and slimey. Plenty of spots to lounge and quiet areas if you want to read and relax. Would go again but during school year when less children.

One concern, safety drill, got to muster station showed us life jackets and then spent the rest of the time talking about smoking and electrical devices. Never showed us lifeboats or anything.
