We have never cruised before, but had spoken with many people who have, so we felt comfortable boarding the ship. We found our room, with our luggage arriving very quickly afterward. Our room steward, Gede, was the best. He always had a smile every time we saw him. We had been told the rooms are very small, but it was plenty big for us with lots of room in the closet for all of our clothes. Luggage fit under the bed. The bathroom was very clean and the shower head and water pressure was extremely nice! We had an inside room, and I would definitely splurge on at least a window next time.

The Norwegian Jewel offered freestyle dining, and we really liked the flexibility and choices we had, and that we didn't have to dress up to dine. Each restaurant had great choices and very good food. The buffet was always very good, too, with wonderful fresh fruit each day.

They kept the two pools at 86 degrees, so unless it was raining, people were constantly in the pool and/or hot tubs.

Cabin I1

Pleasantly surprised. Yes, it was a tight fit getting around the bed to get into it, but otherwise we had enough room. Bed wasn't comfortable; I think the mattress needs to be replaced. Bathroom was great and the shower was really nice! Closet was big enough, plenty of shelf and drawer space. Loved having the safe in the room.
