Pros- dining- there were many options and there was never a moment while on the ship where you were hungry, the options and variety were pleasing to all, the dining room staff made our experience that much greater and the food was out if this world

staff-all were friendly, remembered your name within minutes, went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, cruise director and assistant director were exceptional

cleanliness-there was an abundant amount of cleanup crew working all hours of the day and night to keep the ship in tip top shape

entertainment- there was never a dull moment on this cruise! every night we looked over the entertainment for the next night and could barely stifle the excitement for the next almost 24 hours, the comedy clubs were exceptional- although they came with long lines and overcrowding, the shows and musicals in the theater were always entertaining, there were 3 dance parties which stretched on into the wee hours of the night, and were fabulous, there was constant trivia, movies, karaoke and so much more

grand turk- our favorite island, we went to governor's beach but did not book through carnival- was much cheaper to take a taxi, or even walk

tortola- nice enough island, 3 of us went snorkeling, an excursion that was well worth the money and waking up early, also great shopping in walking distance of ship

puerto rico- not much to do unless you are interested in adventurous excursions, not an island for the beach either, so we went shopping

st. thomas- we had very high expectations for this island, and unfortunately they were not met, booked a 5.5 hour excursion through carnival to magen's beach and then downtown shopping, were enticed by ad saying national geographic had named magen's bay in top ten beaches in the world, it was not- we all got bug bites from sand fleas and rashes on our feet, while swimming in the water, which felt more like a lake than ocean we were stunned to see sharks swimming beside us. we ran out screaming, and told the life guard who replied that the bay was a nursing area for them and it was very common, the downtown shopping was okay, but after going through a flea market with 500 of the same tents, we ventured down a street with i kid you not 200 fine jewelry stores, not to mention the 5.5 tour took less than 4 hours

-the pools were way too small for the 3600 passengers on the ship, also not enough lounge chairs- if you wanted to score one on a sea day you had to wake up before 8 am and place your towels on it to reserve it for the day

-there were many rude people on the ship who thought they were the only ones on the ship- this is not carnivals fault however

-debarkation was painstakingly slow due to customs taking hour long pauses continually, carnival did not address these issues to the more than 2000 remaining passengers, and after being 1 hour later than our debarkation was scheduled for with hours of waiting still ahead, we finally approached a carnival employee with our sincere concerns of missing our flight, after which they were EXTREMELY accommodating to us all

overall a great experience and can not imagine ever vacationing any other way

Cabin review:

bathroom too small, layout was nice, lighting was very good, maybe another set of outlets, closet space was decent, beds, pillows and bedding were exceptional- slept like a baby every night!
