Just returned from a 9 day crusie to the eastern carribean.. left Port of Liberty,NJ June 27 returned July 6th,2013.In every aspect of this cruise very disappointing.. Food Choices and quality were terrible, same basic Buffet for Breakfast and Dinner and on 1 occassion they put out day old reheated food from the Labardee BBQ! Every Buffet experience was terrible finding seating.. many items were not refilled in a timely manner! First day was cute being met at the entrance by a crew member yelling loudly "washy washy" as she stood by the Purell dispensers.. her voice carried through out the Buffet area EVERY Buffet meal! Very childish and in poor taste, many guests we spoke with agreed it was a distraction trying to eat or listen to Announcements about activites etc..
Condition of this vessel is worn, dated and hot tubs and pools were not in use due to maintence.. this created an over load on the remaining operating pools and hot tubs!On a few occasions there were no clean towels available from the pool attendant.. also Bar staff around the pool trying to Hawk bar drinks of the day felt very tacky! Children were everywhere no enforcement of Adult only pools and hot tubs.On a closing note every shore experience lacked staff to guide you to your activity.. no free handicaped help to assist you to the excursions.. I was forced to pay extra $$ for motorized assistance and on Labardee there were ample wheel chairs and attendents but there was pressure to pay them for the assistance.
Excursions assistance in most ports was non exsistant.. perticurly in the Bahamas! The local tour office could only offer up info on public bus which one had to walk a few blocks uphill to reach the main stop for pick up of passengers.. also impossible for a person with even mild walking issues!
The only praise I can sing on this cruise is about the ships staff.. If not for them this curise experience would have been a total disaster and dissappointment!
Never every again will I set foot on a RCL International Ship!
