We have cruised on ten ships over 15 year period on three different cruise lines so I think we can give an objective review. It all depends what your expectations are, all cruise lines have cut back in many areas from food to entertainment but not service.
Embarkation was seamless and quick. The ship was clean and we never felt over crowded. The food was fine, but on a seven day cruise the choices and variety were limited. The pizza, grill, deli, pasta place were a great alternate . The only complaint was the deserts looked good , but had very little taste. The warm chocolate melting cake was the best, and by the number of people with ice cream cones in their hands they must of like the ice cream.The service throughout the ship was great. People wore what ever they wanted to where ever they wanted to and Carnival could not do anything about it. We have never seen so many people in blue jean short and t-shirts, but that is not the cruise lines fault. The room was clean, the More
cabin steward did wonderful job. A suggestion there is only one plug in the cabin so if you want to charge anything bring a powerstrip or multi adapter. Also there is not a clock in the cabin. Two people had to airlifted off the ship so we were delayed getting in to port, but Carnival did a great job making arrangement for people who had planes to catch.
Over all a great cruise and Carnival can not control the type people who cruise with them or what they wear! We paid $499 each inside cabin deck 9 use cruise411 ask for Gimini! Less
