This was our 7th cruise with Celebrity but it will not be our last. On boarding the ship we had a bit of a mess to start but after the initial bottleneck it was a great cruise. Because of a flu on the previous cruise we had late boarding. We never got on until close to 5 pm and were greeted with a massive amount of people in the hall trying to get to their muster station. Finally a crew member took control and we were able to get to where our muster was being held.
But after that our cruise was fantastic. The Captain Club's head person, Bruce was unbelievably present and an all around great, fun person. He took care of any issues with a smile. Also, Sue our on board activities director was the best. She was always there for everything and had a smile and hello for everyone. The thing that really impressed us the most was the captain. On getting back from a very long day excursion he was outside greeting the returning guests. Wow, we were blown over by that.
Ports were great. Berlin was very far, worth seeing but not a repeater. St. Petersburg 2 day tour was outstanding. Pace yourself though because it was exhausting. Our favorite port was Estonia. We took a walking tour and got to see the old and new - what a great place to visit.
If you can get one of these kick out balcony cabins grab it. The balcony is bigger and great location. The room is about the same as the others offered but the draw is the balcony.
