We travelled with 3 adults and a 4 year old. Overall, the ship was excellent! Staff was great, food was great, pirate party and fireworks were a lot of fun. Shows were very good and many character meets. Check in and out was easy.
Ports- Castaway cay was very neat. 2 family beach areas and 1 adult beach. Buffet lunch on the island, float rentals, water slide, kids splash area, bars, shops, etc. Towels are provided too. The only negative here was the chair hogging. People put their stuff out on as many chairs as they can but never use them. The other thing that I didn't really like is that people moved all the chairs up to the edge of the water. Then it made it difficult to get in and out of the water. There should be a section where you can't put chairs.
Nassau- we left the ship to go shopping but stayed close to port. Several places offer day passes to hang out at their beach or pool though. Ended up with a tye dye t-shift that I didn't need from the straw market. Wifi in port building if you need it. Everyone wants to sell you something but we felt safe.
Dining- food was very good to excellent everywhere. Steak and shrimp at the buffets. Lobster, steak, shrimp, etc. at dining room. Ice cream all day and night. Very accommodating to people with allergies.
Pools/slides-this is one of my complaints. There are 3 pools. 2 for kids and 1 for adults. And a very nice kids splash area for little ones. But the kids pools are very small and 1 is only about 2 feet deep while the other is probably 4-5 ft deep. They were always jam packed with people, even on the Nassau day. I feel like they could use a bigger pool on their next ship. I know space is a premium but there were bigger pools on the last 2 ships we went on, which both had smaller capacities. Anyways, the slides were fun and there's a little one and the aqua duck.
Entertainment- sail away party, pirate party, fireworks and shows were all great! Must do things! Get there early though and get a seat.
Adult pool/area- this is another dislike area. The adult only area is on deck 11 at the forward of the ship. And since there are family concierge staterooms on deck 11, families and kids are constantly walking through to get to their rooms. And I don't blame them. We did too. It's just a bad location for a family area. But, the area was rarely crowded and had 2 bars, a pool and hot tub.
Staff/service- excellent here. They really go out of their way to help you or make your time special.
