Alaska June 2013 - Outstanding
We had a perfect time on this trip - was our second time with Holland and will return. Was upgraded to a suite (7080) and it was beyond any cabin we have had in the past, was a last minute past passenger rate for $199.00 will always say yes to this in the future - express checkin and lots of extra's came with the suite (even daily laundry). The service team was wonderful, great wine steward (Elmer) and room attend - suites come with a special lounge which was very nice before dinner and little treats throughout the day.
Dinners were good but not excellent - was expecting more pacific coast seafood choices. Fitness area was good and lots to do on the ship. Was nice to bring our wine on board and enjoy it in our room. Not great for entertainment but ok - checked out the movies one afternoon.
Beautiful trip and a solid full day down to Tracy Arms - great from the crows nest or your balcony - go up and back the same way so each side get the full experience. Did whale More watching in Juneau was amazing a great place to walk around - on the dock is the Twisted Fish great for lunch. Then on to Sitka - did the Birds/Bears/Barnacle (sp) super fun kind of the non-profit experience and it was excellent - lunch at the crab shack I believe - excellent. Final stop was Ketchikan - do the Duck Tour is a great "local" experience.
Overall a solid A. Checkout the Canaletto for dinner they have changed the menu and service - it was excellent. Great Service and variety - will return (and the weather was amazing). Less

Cabin review: SA7080 Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite
This is a perfect location about mid-ship and included the Neptune lounge as well as all the suite special services which we will do on our next cruise - well worth the $$$ on HollandRead All Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite (SA) Reviews >>
Port and Shore Excursions
It was a great day - pricing is ok at about $139.00. You can get a shuttle out to the glacier for $8.00 at the dock if you want to add it to fill the rest of your day. Go on the Whale watching on the early (8:30) departure.
Always enjoy the duck tours - again a great local experience and a good price. Ketchikan has some great walking area's and dining - so I am glad we left our day open to enjoy the town.
