Celebrity Summit is a nightmare! We had to spend 3 days at sea with a pool area the size of most backyard pools. You were unable to get a seat at the pool and when you did you were on top of other passengers. The worst part is a poor woman on our cruise fell and was severely injured because of the lounge chairs sticking out on the walkway.
They do aerobics on the small pool deck as well twice a day with extremely loud music. So if you do try to close your eyes to block out all the people on top of you, be prepared for blaring music and a screaming aerobics instructor to ruin that.
The food was horrific, it was never hot, lukewarm at best. The only good food on board is at the specialty restaurants which they AGGRESSIVELY push on you. They are very expensive and charge a $45 cover fee to get into.
The bar at the pool is a 20 minute wait at least.
I would not advise bringing anyone under the age of 40 as there is absolutely nothing to do for children or teens. They were bored to tears.
The sheets were all stained with yellow spots EVERYWHERE! The chamber maid said it was on all the bedding and she received many complaints but could not do anything about it, it was a laundry problem.....yuck!
The only positive for us was the fact that we had a sky suite. The butler made our trip livable, without that, I think we would have flown home from Bermuda!
