Looked forward to this cruise, had cruised with Thompson before and thought they were pretty good, travelled on the Spirit, Celebration and the Calypso (which they no longer have). All previous cruises had been very good.
Arrived in Corfu, picked up cases, large queue (about 30 minutes waiting) to get onto the couches to take us to the cruise terminal. After we boarded the ship we were shown to our cabin, suitcases outside the door (good). Opened the door and we were aghast, you could not swing a cat in the cabin! We mistakenly thought being on deck eight we would have a decent cabin, all other cruises we have been on, the higher up the ship the better the cabin. Not in this case!
We had asked for a double bed, which we got but it was hard up under the window, you could not walk around the bed, therefore, my husband (who has had two hip replacements) would have to sleep on the outside, I would have to sleep on the inside and climb over him if I needed to go to the bathroom. There was no storage space for our suitcases, as they would not fit under the bed, one wardrobe with limited hanging space, and very few drawers for clothing, as the safe took up space in the unit. The bathroom had nowhere to put your toiletries and the grout in the shower area was mouldy!
