Boarded the Dream(more like Nightmare) one day into cruise we were made aware that there was a novovirus on board and had been for at least six weeks prior to our vacation, no prior warning from Thomsons which would have given us the option to cancel.
Due to the virus were prevented from using the following amenities for which we had paid:
1. Pool was emptied so we could not swim or relax after excertions
2. Unable to use ther Gym
3. No internet
4. No library
5. No Wi-fi
6. Hand Gel Sanitation Pumps every where could not serve ourselves in the buffet area.
Other issues were all toilets blocked on entertainments floor at peak time
Stagnent water left to dry out in the sun around sunbathing area at back of ship everyday
Funnel Waste blew over sunbathing area daily damaging towels and clothing
Sun beds at rear of ship were broken ,torn and extremly dirty should not have been put out for use,we folded them up put them to one side informed staff but were ignored because tthey were put back out the following day.
Could not beleive the variation from the front of the ship to the rear felt like poor relations in comparision new beds, live entertainment ,demonstrations ,afternoon teas of scones jam and cream mini rolls of salmon and cream cheese etc none of this at the rear.
We paid over 3,500 for this cruise from hell it was suppose to be a celebration cruise for myself and my husband as we were both 60 this year. I pity anyone who is crusing to recuperate after an illness they'll come off the ship ailing more than when they got on, these issues need a full investigation this should not be allowed to continue.-Please if there is anyone out there who has experienced similar to us you have to voice your opinions now.
