This was the worst cruise ever, here is our personal story. We bought a cruise for $3,600.00 for 4 people, 2 children, and 2 adults, going to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and Costa Maya. They call it the “Exotic Western Caribbean Cruise”. We knew Tropical Storm Ernesto was out there and called the cruise line the day before to find out what the plan was. Nothing had changed, still going to all these places. We already knew that the Disney Cruise changed their itinerary to the eastern Caribbean cruise, but were told ours is still fine, no problems. On Monday we got to Cozumel, standing at the pier for our first excursion.....half of them were cancelled.....nice way to let us know.....so we had to decide instantly what else to do and decided to go on some nonexistent ruins trip with beach break (terrible beach). But we still took it in stride and weren't upset nor worried, but getting back to the ship is where it all started. We were told by a crewmember that our next stop would be Progreso, Mexico. Still sounds ok at that point, then we asked where next, and the answer was FREEPORT then NASSAU. Really? We live right in Florida, own our own boat, go there all the time, LIVED in the Bahamas for 10 years and most important: cruises to go to the Bahamas are 75% less of what we paid. On the way to the service desk the anouncement about the trip change was made. We stood in a long line, which started a whole lot of standing in line to get answers and help, because you can’t talk to anybody. The front desk people have to write emails to somebody in Miami, wait for answers etc. Takes forever and they hide very well behind the front desk staff!!!Their "help and solution" was to dump us in Mexico on our own, have to make our own hotel and transportation arrangements to the airport, no flights that day....so we decided to wait until Freeport and do this short hop from there to the mainland. Turned out it would have been a 12 hour trip back home via Miami, and also having to make our own transportation arrangements (fortune in taxi costs)to get back to our car which was parked at the port. They offered us a refund for these two days but it wasn’t even close of what theses days cost us. Loosing that much money and a 12 hour trip for a couple of miles didn’t really give us much choice but to stay. So we asked them to do at least do something for our children who were already disappointed, and get them a pass to Atlantis waterpark. But Oh no, they wouldn’t do that!!!

I forgot to mention, there were NO excursions available in Freeport, so we hired a taxi to go to Paradise Cove, recommended by the ship, just to get ripped off some more, no space, paid full day for equipment for just a couple of hours. But that’s normal for the Bahamas.

Our “Exotic Caribbean Cruise” turned into a cheap Bahamas Cruise, but for the same price. We called to talk to them repeatedly and they don’t care at all. They said if enough people of the cruise complained they would do something. We never heard from them. And we know for a fact that most people on this ship did not appreciate the value they got for the price.
