Baltic capitals

Sail Date: June 2013
Destination: Baltic Sea
Embarkation: Southampton

After a easy four hour drive we went straight on,no problem one of our quickest boardings, on for 12-noon

We know the layout of the ship easy to find your way round.Had some food then to the cabin 8390 corner cabin, one of the best cabins on the ship lovely balcony even tea making in the cabin.

We booked last minute so did not know where we would be nice bed, the bathroom is plenty big enough

basic soap and shower gel ok for us men, so take your good stuff ladies.

England was cloudy till we sailed out then the skies cleared.

Our first time as Diamond members and we had the odd glass or two of wine every night .

Sailing up the north sea another sunny day ate in the windjammer good food, then back sunbathing on our balcony out of any wind.

Oslo sunny again we like to walk off, saw the kings palace this time, back on before noon the ship feels empty. We were on the early dinner sitting no good for us, but we had already decided More to eat in the windjammer after our diamond event. lovely food and not too busy

Copenhagen sunny start showers noon then rain later had a nice walk to the Botanical gardens there is a meteorite there half as big as a car, worth seeing. rain spoiled the afternoon for anyone walking.

day at sea sunny again on our balcony, always busy in the windjammer on any ship on sea days

Tallin nice blue sky walked off straight onto a open top bus e13 each, better just to walk into town

had our usual cappuccino, nice place as are all these north ports.

we are into our routine now.off in the morning back for lunch have a sleep then go up to meet our new friends in the diamond lounge.nice red wine.

St petersburg we had to go on a trip this time, only place we have not seen was the hermitage so did the afternoon trip lovely palace very overcrowded

st petersburg second day woke up to find we are surrounded by cruise ships glad we have been before, enjoyed ourselves on the ship

Helsinki beautiful sunny day,we walked round towards the market found a nice picturesque marina

cappuccino and rest.onward to the market and back good walk.sat on the balcony watching people walk back on board past the all aboard time, how crazy is that.

two days at sea the weather went down hill coming back down the north sea

our cabin steward Victor did a good job could not fault him.one of the other cabin stewards near the elevators suffered with wind always when we walked past

Zeebrugge like a winters day and we cannot walk off as it is a working container port.

people who wanted to get off were having problems with the shuttle buses.

the day brightened as we sailed out. bit of sunshine over dover castle.calm seas coming into southampton

last morning had the most peaceful breakfast in the diamond room with two americans from florida

got off no problems quick and easy.

Cannot fault the ship the crew or the food. Less
