Sail Date: Jun 2013

We arrived at the terminal earlier than we expected at 10:45 am. We were signed in and on board at 11:15 amazing! They had the check in process down pat and smooth.

We had a balcony cabin on deck 14 and found it to be small, but efficiently laid out. The bathroom was larger than other sailings on Norwegian, while the balcony was tiny it was large enough for the two of us. One thing that we did notice that the brochures do not tell you is that the overhang from deck 15 blocks the sun on the balconies on 13 and 14 for the rear 3/4 of the ship. If you love the sun, book a balcony cabin below deck 12.

The dining options were great and the waterfront was a good idea. Keep in mind that this cruise was docked in Bermuda for 2 nights and the waterfront did not have to deal with bad weather and wind while in port. I would imagine on cruises that spend all evenings at sea, one may have a different view of the usefulness. The ship in general made you feel that there was far less than 4000 passengers with 2 exceptions; the sundeck on sea days and the Casino in the evening. The area around the pool is a problem on all cruise ships with limited seating and people hogging deck chairs. I do not know what can be done about it to solve the problem. The Casino on this ship was the disappointment in that it was located around the stairwell between decks 6,7 and 8 and stretched into the corridors on deck 7. It just felt like it was an afterthought and was extremely hot and uncomfortable after dinner.

Cabin Review

Cabin was small but efficient. Some quirks were the card insert to keep the electricity flowing. Remember to bring a card to keep inserted and tell the steward that you need the card left in when you are charging your devices, otherwise you will find that they have not been charged. The balcony edoor must be locked in order for the A/C to work in the room. This took a little getting used to.
