Flew into FLL on Saturday and stayed at the Rodeway. They offer free shuttle from airport and to cruise terminal the next day. They have a restaurant on site that claimed to be open until 3 am. We arrived at 10:30 and they had closed the kitchen. We ordered from Doughboys, they have pizza, soup, salad and sandwiches. They delivered in about 40 minutes and we enjoyed it.
Day 1 of the cruise. Hurry up and wait for the shuttle! But we were at the port by 10:45 on the ship by 11:30. Very smooth at this time of day! We went to the Park Cafe for the roast beef and salad. Dont miss the salad it was great! Because we booked out cruise last minute, we were not able to reserve tickets for shows beforehand. If you go the Studio B (ice rink), you can choose your shows and have reservations pretty much for anything. We purchased the drink package and walked around. We had the assembly drill. We had dinner in the MDR. Our food and service (Tony & Anthony from India) were both excellent.
On the way back to the airport we took a cab. $14.00 for 2. Our flight didnt leave until 3:45. We should have booked an excursion, that was a long time in the airport.
Cabin Review
Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Large Balcony
Our room was 11604 it was a balcony overlooking the ocean. The room was nice, that balcony was on the hump so it was a little bigger than the usual balcony. It was an adjoining stateroom which in the future I will absolutely avoid. We could hear everything in the room on the other side of the door. And they had a baby that would only cry and cry and cry. She would be our wakeup call anywhere from 5- 8 am. On the second to last night we got in around 1 am. She was crying and wouldnt stop. Then the husband came in from the casino and he and his wife started fighting. While the baby is still crying. I can tell you how much money he lost at the casino, I could hear it so well. On the other side with no door, we never heard our neighbors.
