The MSC Sinfonia was a lovely ship that met our every expectations regarding service, food, cleanliness and comfort. We had a balcony cabin which was spacious, comfortable and met all our expectations, it was large in comparison to the other rooms that did not have a balcony and everything about it was great. The service in the restaurants was second to none and the staff were courteous and professional, and the menu each night was fantastic.

Would I book another cruise, well if they are all as manic as this one then probably not. What I didn't understand was why the restaurant that we were assigned to for our evening meal was so tranquil and conservative the buffet restaurant, at times, was like a cattle market. The main deck during the day was so noisy, every sunbed was taken early and the pool area was just unbearable. The entertainment reps kept pestering you to take part in activities either then or later in the day or evening, I can only describe it as being like a 'Holiday Camp', Hi de Hi comes to mind. The majority of families appeared to be from Italy, which should not have been a surprise as we boarded in Italy, but the entertainment, lifeboat drill, and any other announcements all appeared to be in Italian. when they did use English it was usually tagged onto to the end. Interestingly though there was no language problems with the staff as most spoke English very well. Maybe it was because of our ages that we didn't like to manic activities, so if we book again I will have to ensure it will be a cruise for an older clientele or one with less activities where one is expected to participate.

All said I don't wish to take anything away from this Cruise Company, excellent boat, excellent staff and excellent cuisine - thanks for a wonderful holiday.
