MSC Opera Cruise Review by pykelet: Excellent Value

Just arrived back from the Norwegian Fjords cruise on MSC Opera.... This was the first time we had cruised with MSC and we'll definitely go with them again.
The ship was lovely and clean and there was plenty to occupy your time even though it is one of their smaller ships. All the staff seemed to be really helpful. The all inclusive package at 23 euros pppn is brilliant value and includes around 75% of the cocktails, spirits (including for example Courvoiser Brandy), coffees, hot chocolates bottles of water, ice creams, five or six types of wine, just enabling you to budget completely before you even leave home. The food choices were also really good.
There was always something going on aboard the ship but also plenty of quiet corners if you didn't want to join in.
The Excursions were excellent and some of the best that I have been on with cruise companies.
If you have been with other cruise companies you may notice that perhaps the staff are not More quite as attentive but this is generally because there are not so many and also MSC don't encourage individual tipping. Yes embarkation and disembarkation did take a while but really these small criticisms didn't matter a jot but then I expect this comes down to personal attitude of the traveller themselves.
The mixed european flavour of the ship and passengers was also really refreshing.
Ignore the moaners and just go and enjoy!! Less
