An indian's experience aboard the eurodam
Destination: Baltic Sea
now lets get to the interesting part...the food !!! being vegetarians majorly limited our choices. they had printed menus for indian vegetarian fare so that was very encouraging. one had to credit them for trying. the problem was that the food didnt taste like it was cooked by anyone remotely indian ! the indian breads were tough to eat. i got talking to a couple of indian chefs onboard and the poor dears said they didnt have the ingredients for an indian meal. holland america seriously should consider stocking up for its indian passengers (and there were quite a few). even the non indians often like indian fare. but with all their limitations...they took wonderful care of us. the More cutlery though does need better cleaning !
our 13 yr old had little to do on the cruise. the couple of times she went to the teen activity area , she came back bored... probably because there werent too many kids around.
the shore excursions were as usual steeply priced.
both the embarkation and disembarkation went off efficiently n smoothly.
all in all....we had a good time aboard the eurodam. Less
Cabin review: VA7143,7135 Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
7143 was an aft cabin and very spacious. the balcony too was larger and good for sightseeing as it was not windy. the aft cabin views are ...literally...in hindsight ...one sees things moving away...being left behind. this doesnt quite compare with seeing things come into view. it was a quiet location.7135 was a few doors away from 7143..again a quiet location. this was decent sized too though less open space than 7143. suitcases can be pushed under the bed in both rooms. storage was sufficent for us.Read All Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom (VA) Reviews >>
