Traveled up to Southampton form Wales on the day before and stopped in Southampton.Left the hotel at 10 which was local to the port and was on boards by 11:15, as usual port staff were excellent in all ways, one guy did say that disabled badges were no good there, never mind lets hope he doesn't want one sometime.
On board and there once again you were hit with the WOW factor, the organisation was terrific. I love the way your cases disappear quite early on, so we went up for lunch and choose form the extensive offerings, very nice.It was my birthday so we booked a table in Portafino restaurant for that night. We were allowed access to the cabin well before the deadline, no disappointment here again, although there one or two things that showed that the ship was coming up for a refresh(next year I think), nothing serious just odd marks here and there, but the cabin was of the standard you expected.Had to wait an hour for our cases, amazing how they handle so many in such a short time. That night the Portafine was superb in all respects, as was the dining room experience enhanced by out table staff, one night at Johnny Rockets was a nice change.Entertainment was excellent was was Clo the cruise director. Could not fault the experience of the cruise, even tried out my new dinner suit, we look forward to the next one in September.
Happy Cruising Everyone.
