We booked this cruise primarily for the ports we were to visit.we were pleasantly pleased re size cabin.onour previous cruises we had cabin with balcony and sea view, but as seasoned yacht sailors tried inside cabin, and this was fine.apart from being next to cleaners locker!every morning we were awoken 6.40 am to clatter trolleys and cleaners talking loudly, before the hoovering started 7.40! Marco Polo an ok boat.p

Main problem was Eastern European waiters.as always ,a few we're sweet, but on the whole, poor attitude towards customers.sighing when someone at our table asked for decaf coffee, often did not understand what was asked.a complete contrast to the predominantly sa staff on other ships, who were friendly, helpful and welcoming.fixed meal times and tables in pm was new to us,plus the mostly required jacket or jacket and tie requirement.will not repeat.although the couple we spent every night for dinner were lovely,we. Had requested table for 8.no one else turned up apart from once,so we spent all time same 4people.the food was ok,nothing special, but ok.drinks were reasonably priced.

Best bit of cruise was entertainment, which was excellent.Matt leads a superb team, and every night was different but excellent. The captain was lovely, coming into public areas and greeting passengers, coming to shows, not the norm.some of the organisation was Mickey Mouse,in ware undue huge queues for non existent shuttle buses ,people ending up paying for taxis.outbreak no reovirus unfortunate, though unlike previous cruises, did not see non stop cleaning of hand rails prior to outbreak.gym etc shut ,fair enough.but my husband missed the gym.happy to accept reason why, until saw staff using whilst closed to passengers!Same with alcohol spray .passengers rightly made to use.spoke to someone who had witnessed 6 staff entering restaurant and not sprayed.approached and asked why not, told just passing through!afternoon tea was a gunfight,as 800people trying to get tea and scone in 1 hour window not great.staff to passenger ratio not great to cope with something like norovirus.we much proffered princess and Thomson, and would give Marco Polo body swerve.

Cabin Review

Inside cabin ok,just stay clear of cleaners lockers!
