What a great vacation on the Carnival Liberty. We were a family of 5 adults on the cruise and we started by flying into Ft. Lauderdale the day before on Friday and catching a shuttle to the Miami Port Saturday morning (well worth it to not have the stress of flying in on cruise day). We stayed at the Sleep Inn and Suites in Dania Beach which was a nice place and had a Walgreens and Publix supermarket next door. The shuttle to Miami Port was with QLS transportation and they were on time, very courteous and the rates were very reasonable. We also used them after the cruise to get back to Ft. Lauderdale airport. Embarkation: Was very easy and we were on the ship very quickly, all the staff was courteous. Once on the ship our room was ready on time and luggage delivered quickly. We have sailed on the Liberty before so we were used to the layout so it was easy for us to get around right away. For first timers it's a good idea to use the little map of the ships decks and take a walking tour.

Food: The food in the dining room was very good and the staff was fantastic. The food at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was good, the 24 hour pizza and ice cream was a treat and Guys Hamburger Joint was excellent. Drinks were a bit expensive, but that's normal on cruises.

Entertainment: There was always some type of activity on the Lido deck as well as other areas of the ship. The comedy shows were fantastic, never laughed so hard. The Mardi Gras night was a lot of fun as was the last day party. The ship had a musical singer Andy who played the lounges and Lido Deck bars, he played a great mix of songs and was fantastic, very nice to sit and relax to. The ship was very clean and the staff was very helpful.

The rooms were very nice and the balcony was worth it. Room stewards were excellent and took care of all our needs and kept the room very clean.
