My sister and I cruised Western Caribbean June 8th-14th. Our embarkation went flawless. After a LONG drive from SC we arrived at port, got our S&S and on board within 10 minutes. We chose to purchase FTTF and it was well worth every penny. Our cabin was ready by the time we took the stairs down to the 2nd deck. Our stateroom was crisp and clean. The ship itself was massive and beautiful. Easy to navigate. Our cruise director Jaime was pleasant from the first minute we met her. The staff of the entire ship was always pleasant and smiling.
We had the best steward, Rommell, he even gave us a fabulous presentation of towel animals. He took time to show us several different animals. He always kept our cabin clean and checked on us on a regular basis. He was there within a few minutes when we called him, kept our ice bucket filled and fresh towels.
We chose to do most excursions on our own with the exception of Roatan. We booked a snorkel tour thru the excursion desk. The ship staff was most helpful.
Cozumel, we rented a jeep for the whole day and had a blast. We snorkeled and enjoyed some local food.
Belize, we didn't book and excursion, but recommend that you do if you plan to visit. Going off on your own in not recommended. We still enjoyed the sites and locals.
Roatan, we booked the snorkel tour at Tabyana beach. This is the absolute best tour. We took a shuttle to the beach and rented snorkel gear. The view is breath taking!!!!
Costa Maya, we decided to walk to mahual. NOT recommended lol. Take a cab, it's cheap and beats walking the several miles. The beach is awesome and the locals are very welcoming. We got a massage on the beach and enjoyed local cuisine.
The shows on the ship were awesome. We enjoyed comedy and nightly shows. The deck parties were pleasantly entertaining.
The one thing you MUST do is dine at the steakhouse. We had our own wait staff, which I must say is above and beyond what we expected. The food is beyond amazing. The head chef sat at our table and talked with us.
We enjoyed a hot stone massage at the cloud 9 spa. Very relaxing and much needed.
The pools seemed crowded and we avoided them but enjoyed the sun and hot tubs. Cooled off in the deck showers that were everywhere.
Serenity deck was always peaceful and a nice break from the screaming kids lol. The only thing is, they should have a separate pool for that area of the ship.
Disembarkation was smooth and effortless.
I will deffo cruise carnival again in the future!!!!!
