Our first cruise and overall an excellent experience on this ship.Staff were all fantastic. No complaints anywhere.Rooms very clean. We had upgraded to a superior with a balcony which I would recommend, but to be honest we only ever slept in it, and used the balcony in the evening for photos, and to have a great view when docking.Bit busy when embarking at Malaga, but not that bad, and we still managed to sit down in the Windjammer. We then had a fabulous 5 days touring Valenica (bus tour and walk round the city), Rome, Pisa, Florence, and Corsica. We booked towards the top end of the tour prices (around 125 euro in 2012), and consequently had fairly small groups of a dozen, but also NO QUEUING in Rome.We paid in advance for anytime dining, and the food and service were 5* without doubt. We always found the Windjammer food to be of great quality with good variety, and plenty of places to sit.Breakfast equally good. But get this, you might have to sit with someone you don't know and actually strike up a conversation! Now, down to on the boat costs of booze and drink. We researched this quite a lot, and initially were a little taken back by the cost of not just booze, but juice and water too. However, we ordered a wine package and soft drinks, and water, and juice. probably spent £200 on that, plus another £250 on the tab at the bar, with beer at about £5 per pint.We didn't go into this not expecting to be viewed as walking wallets! We expected it, we budgeted for it, we enjoyed it.
