We tried this mini cruise to see how we liked P&O. Ventura was quite a big ship and a big difficult to find your way around, Our inside cabin was small but adequate. Overall food not bad but Beach house buffet was really difficult to get round with trays, it had narrow aisles, we used Waterside which was fine. We chose freedom dining, if there was not a table for two we were given a pager and never had to wait too long. Tables were a big close together but we did have some lovely meals.
We took the courtesy bus to Zeebrugge and then got the bus to Brugge, really loved Brugge, take the canal trip if you go it was lovely. We caught the train back to Zeebrugge. Guernsey was ok, we took the local bus that took you all around the island for £2 Guernsey pounds. You can use English money but you get your change in Guernsey money which you can't spend at home.
We found the staff ok but they did not seem to engage with the customers very much. We saw our cabin steward once so did not get chance to have a chat.
I would recommend trying the mini cruises as it gives you an idea of what to expect.
The biggest gripe we came across was the cost of the cruise as many people had paid a lot more than us, but lots of people were unhappy about the vantage and Getaway fares.
