We had a good time despite the weather which was rainy and cloudy almost every day. We stayed in a Grand Suite. The room is pretty big and it has a nice long balcony. However, the ship is very old and worn out, and even the suite was in poor shape.

The bathrooms had sinks that were rusting badly and the tub's finish was all coming up. the tub had jets but I would never take a bath in it because it looked nasty.

Carnival needs to spend some money to renovate the Paradise because it doesn't look much like Paradise.

Also, something happened which we had never had happen before. On our last night of the cruise, in the middle of the night, the speaker system in our room went off and they annouced "Sierra Team in Cabin ..." and then "Operation Bright Star in cabin..."! Needless to say we were woken up with a jolt and worried about what was happening. the next morning, our room stuard would not tell us what that was about. He clearly knew what had happened, but I guess he wasn't allowed to tell.

On a positive note, the food was very good. In general, Carnival does not disappoint on the food quality and taste.

Cabin review: Grand Suite

GS
We stayed in a Grand Suite. The room was big and comfortable. Very noisy when the seas were rough because everything in the room crackled.
