We are 3 sisters: 52, 56, 62, and Mom: 1 month shy of 95. Our Mom has been wanting to take a cruise for over 12 years. She is a 7+ cruise veteran of the Princess Line. She walks slowly, needs frequent bathroom breaks, can get a bit overwhelmed with high noise. Us 3 sisters decided to take this cruise based on the 4 day schedule. We all did carry on with wheels, even my Mom. One bottle of wine per person came along in our carry ons. Lines to board the ship were not too bad and we initially got into line around 12:30 PM. Security was very easy. Put your bag on the scanner and grab it at the other end. Snapped the obligatory pictures and headed to our 2 rooms: U129 and U133 which were clean and ready for us. We dropped off the bags and headed to the Lido deck for lunch.Since there are so many reviews, I will just list the pros and cons for us.Pros:Everyone on ship was very friendly. Lots of hellos in the hallways and on deck. They were especially accommodating to my Mother who needed a bit more help in getting into tenders for Catalina.

Food was decent. There was something for everyone. Ate in all dining rooms, deli, and pool deck. Did not eat Pizza or Mongolian Grill due to long lines. Drinks were not that expensive. 15% automatically added to drink purchases. Gym was great. Used every day. Clean, good equipment, steam and dry sauna awesome. Beds so comfy. Good pillows. Lots of room in the 6D stateroom. Turn-Down service was awesome! Loved the 2 shows: Latin Fiesta and Shout. Karaoke fun to watch and when backed by live band, even better. Lots of staged photo areas that were fun for us to try. Hairy chest contest....crazy & lots of laughs. Catalina and Ensenada trips were enjoyable. Rented 4 person golf cart at Island Rentals in Catalina for $40 + $40 deposit. Cash only. In Ensenada, we took $3 bus to off loading area and then purchased BlowHole/Street Market shopping (3 hrs) for $15. Good trip! Debarkation was orderly and we were off the ship at 8:30 AM.Cons:Lines for breakfast buffet. After 1 day of that, we chose the dining room for seated breakfast with menus. Suited us better. Lack of ship activities during day that appealed to us. More juvenile type activities on ship during day. Don't go to "So, you think you can dance?" It was misleading for guests as we thought we were going to watch dancers. It was audience participation only. Cigarette smoke is overwhelming in Casino and near pool bar. Need a gas mask. Occasional sewage smell in our hallway. Even the housekeeper gagged one day. Bathrooms in ship, outside of staterooms are not well marked and not in same place on every deck :( Decor of ship is outdated like an old Las Vegas showroom. Lots of crazy designs and gaudy colors. Pay attention to elevators. They have different floors that they may or may not reach.
