This is our 3rd Princess Cruise, and we had a really good time. The food was better than our January cruise on Star Princess around The Horn. All in all Princess is a great value. We actually prefer Oceania, but we've worn out their itineraries. We'd like to do the Baltic with Oceania but their prices have skyrocketed. So we'll stick with Princess again for that trip.

The Asian port talks were outstanding with Elizabeth. She's been there done that. As well as being very accessible if you needed more information.

The food was very good, we ate almost every meal in the main dining room, and there are 4 to choose from. We especially enjoyed the Savoy Dining room, and requested a table for 2 in Dennis' area. He went far beyond the other servers we'd had. He know we enjoyed wine, and when we sat he brought us Reidle glassware, yes it does make a difference. Only went to the buffet twice, just not our thing, and it amazes us that people would prefer cafeteria food over fine dining. But that's your choice, and there's a lot of choices.

The entertainment didn't seem to be as high quality as with past cruises, luck of the draw I guess. Some really good headline acts, but the "shows" were just adequate.

We usually do our own side trips and they worked out well. We did 2 with Cruise Critic members that did a lot of work putting them together, so worth it! We did one with Princess that was a disaster in Shanghai, not as represented and a true waste of time (mostly) and money.

Princess shines on it's pre and post cruise hotel accommodations and transfers. I've tried to beat their prices by doing it on my own, but I can't come close. You can arrive in the middle of nowhere at 1:30 AM and the Princess rep is there with your name on a sign. Sooo worth the money.

Our next trip will be with Princess to the Baltic next year, after our land trip to Spain in May.

Cabin review:

Really nice room, with obstructed view. But that never was a problem, we had only a minor obstruction. Very quiet, but a terrific location. Dead middle!I wish there had been pull downs for Busan, Korea, a beautiful city people would enjoy. And Shanghai, a city best enjoyed at night.
