This was a remarkable cruise. The destinations were by far the highlight. Lets start with embarkation: Many people will tell you to get there later since we did not depart until 7pm, but I will tell you get there early to beat the crowds. We arrived at 2:30 and walked right on the ship. It was almost too easy.

First night onboard: There was so much going on, we made reservations for Portofino and chops, as well as my massage. Then off to tour the ship. We have been Adventure, Splender, and now Brilliance, and the Brilliance configuration is by far my favorite. After a tour and a drink it was time for dinner. The first night our wait staff seemed to be a bit confused, but they quickly got the hang of it. We spent the night in Schooner Bar listening to the Piano. It was very nice.

Day 2: Cannes, France- STAY ON THE SHIP. We wandered in town for a bit and it was a waste then we did our shore excursion to a perfume factory and St Paul. St Paul was fantastic. A medieval town with narrow streets and little shops. We arrived back on the ship in time for a drink and sun bathing before dinner. I also did my massage on the first morning. It was great.
