Just returned on 6/2 from an 8-day cruise aboard the Breeze. This was in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. We have sailed on four other Carnival ships, all of which were the older ones. One thing that we immediately noticed about the Breeze was how big it was. Massive!
Anyway, I will keep this short and to the point:
Food - Good, but not great. Sushi was very good as was Guy's Burger Joint.
Service in dining room is painfully slow. Went there only once.
Room - Had an aft balcony room. Very nice. Very spacious. Highly recommend.
Shows - Musical productions were good. Comedians were funny for the most part.
Get there a bit early if you want a seat. Plenty of seating in the
Ovation theater, but much more crowded in the Limelight lounge.
Live Entertainment - Excellent. Live band on the promenade deck was very good.
Ron Pass in the piano bar was the best, but he "retired" from Carnival
and is now at some resort in Idaho. Other guitar players in the bars
were also good.
Casino - Not a big gambler, but plenty of slot machines to mess around with.
Staff - Everyone was friendly, and I mean everyone. Room steward, Clifford, was
especially nice. Housekeeping staff does a great job.
We enjoyed our time on the boat and at the ports - Grand Turk, St. Thomas, San Juan and St. Maarten. Plenty to do on the ship, or just relax and do nothing. Ship was completely full, but never felt overly crowded. A good time.
Took a glass bottom boat tour. Very nice. Saw lots of fish. Even the bus ride was enjoyable.
