Ship Facts: Thomson Celebration Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Thomson Celebration Deck Plans
well done Thomson

EMBARKATION PORT MARMARIS

Arrived at the ship in Marmaris at 10 pm , 4 hrs late but when we got on board the delay problem was not an issue. The booking in was smooth once we handed case to coach the next time we saw them was in our cabin. As we where late on board we thought oh well we3 will only starve for one nite but to our sur[prise we were told to go into the Lido Restaurant where there was loads of choice of food.
we had a few drinks then off to bed.
When we explored ship the next day we were pleasantly surprised the ship had had a refit and lookedv really good.
THE CABIN
we had cabin 427 outside porthole shower and tioletb refurbed small but fine we had 3 single beds but no prob loads of drawers and hanging space. Cabin steward very good came in twice a day.

BARS
we mostly drank in Hemingways bar which was very good with panoramic windows.
Horizen bars was also nice right at the top of ship over looking the bow

Liberties bar was a great place tv game shows Dancing Quizzes etc
BROADWAY SHOWLOUNGE
wow what can I say amazing they have 2 shows most nites 8.30 and 10.30.The shows were west end quality We had michael jackson show ,Queen, 60's &0's can can all types of themes. I have seen many a west end show and all of showgirls and boys are all capable of taking a lead in any west end show and they have to learn 12 different shows to cover 14 day cruises amazing. One night we had a Comedian from the UK he was really good no blue jokes at allhe was DAVE KRISTIAN

EATING
we ate twice in lido buffet restaurant . This was good if you felt like casual dining loads of choice starters mains and sweets

We ate twice in The Meridian restaurant again very good, good service and good food with a good choice.
And we ate in the A la carte restaurant twice this was exceptional. There was a £20 per head cover charge but really nice for aq special meal and a bit of pampering

Drinks
We where all inclusive well worth it most drinks in the deal. A few cocktails but not many had a surcharge of only £1.29 and a few special drinks but mostly all in the deal

Photographs
Being taken all the time but no pressure to buy.

ISTANBUL
We did our own thing. City tour bus outside dock just walk past the taxis drivers touting for your business turn left at road and bus stop ther e. about £20 each this toured city then we got off in main square by Mosques etc then got back on later then 5 mins back to ship.
KUSADASI
We booked a half day trip to Ephesus as its quite a way. We where dropped off at one end of Ephesus and picked up at other end. Quite a bit of hassle from traders. But I just said no.
MYKONOS
Free shuttle into town. We just did our own thing wandering through the narrowest of strreets and by the harbour
PIRAEUS
we went to athens on our own just outside harbour cross carpark turn left under flyover and Cty bus tours there about £20 each took us all the way to the Parthenon after that we got back on to bus to Pireus and spent the afternoon in the town really nice town
MYTILENE
This was cancelled because of weather so ship diverted to Izmir. Free shuttle into town

CASINO
Small but fine

STAFF
all very good and friendly '

I have been on a few Thomson Cruises and also a Royal Carribean cruise and even RCL was a bit posher Thomson entertainment won hands down
