We embarked on our first cruise with Celebrity haveing been on Royal Carabiean and HAL..We had High expetations as our tour operator told us Celebrity was a notch better than HAL.We were traveling with two other couples...and had a requested at booking in Sept 2012 a table for 6 all together...that was our first of many small issues....One couple put at another table....then corrected and we wer put at a table for 10..on the third night the maitre'D....asked us to leave that table for yet another.....hmmm On calling Guest relation on a question as to the location of the activity room for cards and board games.the person on the phone said they did not know but would have their supervisor call us back.....They never did...Another question by phone to Guest Relations had the same result a promised reply but did not come....I must say though the manned Guest Relations Desk on Floor three is Very reponsive and attentive as was their Conceirge who is Excellent....Positive note our room 8080 Conceirge Class was just fine what we had expected and the cabin staff were very attentive.Food......on the Buffet 10th Floor in our and our other four guests opinion was not to par with Hal this is also the case with the Dining Room Deck Floor .......Just not a lot of flavour...options seemed cheap....no surf and turf but turf only lamb shanks more than once...We all thought this was the area we were most disapointed with....however Staff very attentive....and we tipped accordingly over and above...We have the feeling the ship is cutting costs...why even the last night they din not put chocolates on the pillows not a big thing but speaks volumes...The up sells at the bar and through out the ding room was at a point too much...3( 3 approaches in 5 mins once) Disembarkation was seamless excellent....We feel based on old reviews that the food has chaned based on cost cutting efforts..Would love to hear from Celebrity...as we left this input....
