Alaska 7 Day May 11 2013 Star Princess
Whale watching and Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau were both exciting and well planned. The Skagway White Pass train ride up to the Yukon is an unforgettable event (complete with lots of snow). The Salmon bake in Liarsville was over the top in quality, taste and great entertaining fun after lunch. We weren't rushed and even provided a chance to do a little gold panning there too.
Ketchikan was a short stay but a town we'd like to hang around for days and shop. A lot of ideal and unique places to see there. We've never More see so many Jewelry stores in all our lives than in all of these ports of call.
Final stop in Victoria, B.C. was the only disappointment since it was so late in the evening and it was getting dark by the time we made it to downtown. That is such a unique and storied town, it would be worth at least a 6 hour stay there to enjoy the many sights and gardens they have to offer.
Would we go again to Alaska and on Princess? Absolutely. Savings have already begun for the South Pacific/Hawaii trip we'd like for next year. Less
Cabin review: BCB221 Balcony
B221 was in a great location up front and the "drivers" side. Had a great steward that made life for a week very nice. The Baja deck is high enough you get a really good view and also didn't have a patio above us to look down on us. I'd choose this cabin again for sure.Read All Balcony (BC) Reviews >>
