We did a one week cruise from Barcelona visiting Naples, Rome, Florence, Marseille and Palma. Embarkation and disembarkation were the easiest and smoothest of any cruises we have taken. Although the Epic is huge, we found it easy to find our way around the ship as we were midship and this was very convenient.Food was not the best but average. The breakfast in the Garden cafe was very good with lots of selection and eggs and omelettes cooked to order. We tried Taste once and we were disappointed in the venue and the food. The Manhattan was easier on the eye and also had music and a duo during the evening meal. It was always busy though and sometimes we had to wait for 15 minutes or so to be seated. But we were given a timer to let us know when our table was ready and a free glass of bubbly while we waited. The food though was very average. We booked for La Cucina and Cagneys and both were a disappointment, especially paying extra for these venues. Cagneys was a lovely restaurant as far as ambiance goes.Entertainment was different than on other ships we have tried. It wasn't the usual singing and dancing and excerpts from musicals. The Blue Man group was certainly different. Legends was good. There were acts on in Headliners, such as comedy violinists and comedy guitarists. Headliners was also the venue for the dual piano players who invited the audience to request tunes, but they did favour the Americans, who were offering $20 for their songs to be sung. We did not go to the Cirque do sol as this was expensive and we had seen a similar act for free on the Celebrity Solstice. We enjoyed the night in Fat Cats when they had a rock band singing songs from the 1960's.The weather wasn't as good as we had hoped and did stop a lot of the outside entertainment from going ahead. My husband took part in Mr Epic and came third and this was fun.We paid for the alcoholic drinks package as drinks were quite expensive and we hoped we would save money this way. I am not sure if we did or not as water, coffee and soft drinks such as fresh orange and red bull were not included, nor was Boddingtons bitter (which my husband likes to drink). The ship also has a 10 pin bowling alley which we enjoyed.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Ours was an inside midship cabin. Loved the size and power of the separate shower. Toilet cubicle good size. Did not like the layout of the dressing table with mini fridge over the top as I kept bumping my head on the fridge. The room was extremely dark.
