My wife & I (along with our daughter/her boyfriend) had a magnificent time on NCL's new Breakaway Ship last week! All the bells & whistles you can imagine on the ship, friendly smiles & service from NCL's entire crew, great food & drinks, and had played golf on Bermuda's finest courses. The weather was magnificent...sunshine & 85 degrees. The Atlantic Ocean was as calm as a river. Most of the time there was only tiny ripples in the sea. Smooth as silk & I'm someone who suffers from "motion sickness" in cars/buses.Had a large Aft-facing cabin with spacious balcony. Plenty of room for two people. Airconditioning/heat in the room worked great. Refrigerator, safe, plenty of drawer & closet space. Even ample room below the bed to store golf bags and luggage.NCL's "free" restaurants (Savor, Taste, Manhattan Room, and Buffet)offered many delicious meals. However, we spent the few extra bucks at dinnertime to sample the "specialty" dining options such as Moderno (Brazilian), Teppanyaki (Japanese), La Cuchina (Italian), Shanghai (Asian Noodle Bar), Cagney's (steak)....all outstanding!Entertainment was top-rate! Rock of Ages show, Burn The Floor performance, and Second City Comedy is something passengers shouldn't miss. Game shows (Deal or No Deal), Bingo, trivia contests, and the Casino's Slot, Blackjack, and Poker tournaments were really fun. Yes, live cash poker was available too! The Spa, fitness center facilities are top-notched as well. Bermuda was awesome place to visit. Many passengers selected from the many excursions available. My wife & I played golfon 2 of the days while spending the other day at the beach. We brought our own golfclubs, but the Breakaway ship has clubs to rent for those who do not want to carry them onto the ship.Best feature of the Breakaway??? The section on the ship called "VIBE". It is a designated private area on Deck 16 with TV's, a huge bar, lounge chairs, two hot jacuzzi hot tubs, and about 6 cabanas (which cost extra). VIBE costs $79/per person and it is well worth it, people! The rest of the pool and lounging areas on the Breakaway's top decks are crammed with people everywhere. Not so is VIBE! NCL limits only 88 people to be members of VIBE. It is, by far, the best place to lounge, drink, and mingle with others. This is what separates NCL's Breakaway from NCL's Epic ship.Hope this review has helped many to make the trip to NY City to board NCL's Breakaway cruiseship. Overall, my grade is A+ and I wouldn't hesitate to return again.

Cabin Review

Only 1 negative feature for our cabin (12910)Aft. We were several decks below H2O Spice Entertainment/Dancing. The music was extremely loud from 11pm to 1:30am on a couple of nights. Was difficult sleeping (had to use earplugs) on those nights with fireworks & late night dancing.
