Sail Date: May 2013

We booked the Norwegian Breakaway cruise on May 12 because they sold it as an "Inaugural" cruise. They did NO inaugural celebrations at all. They also charged twice the price of the next cruise, but did nothing for it.Their sad excuse of an "Ice Bar" is really pathetic, it is nothing but a refrigerator. Don't waste your $20 on it!The food is cold, bland and boring in the main restaurants. And the dessert menu never changes. But don't think you can go out for a gelato after dinner, because they close at 5:00pm. What a waste! The staterooms are small, cramped and the storage is lacking. The balcony is extremely small! The bathroom was spacious for a cruise ship, but all the nice things I can say about that. Making reservations for everything is not convenient at all. And if you have to make changes or cancel, they have the nerve to charge you for it. There is no reason for that. They charge so much for excursions... if you have half a brain you can do it on your own (Bermuda). We saved a ton of money doing everything ourselves.NCL has the worst customer service, our letter was completely ignored and we received the usual auto responses in return. We are not happy & will be spending our cruise money on other lines from now on.

Cabin Review

We had a basic balcony cabin on deck 14. It was small, cramped, with a lack of storage space. The balcony was very small, too small to sit out there for any length of time comfortably. The bathroom was okay, bigger than on other ships. The television offered several news channels, Nickelodeon, one channel for shows and one for old movies. And then they charge $10 to watch any other movie! This is a rip off! There are no bathroom toiletries, so bring what you need.
