I am a 26 years old, Elementary School Teacher from Puerto Rico. I planned this cruise with my mother to go somewhere different. This was my cruise #9 and the first in a place different than the southern caribbean itinerary. I chose Princess Cruises because of their variety of choices in Alaska. Pre-Cruise I arrived at Seattle the day prior to embarkation. We arrived at SeaTac airport at 6 pm. We had a reservation at the Edge Water Hotel (excellent) and they arrange a limo transportation from the airport to the hotel for just $30.00 which I found a very good price. It was super comfortable after more than 10 hours flying. The hotel was impeccable, super nice, country looking, fireplace in each room, right where some ships dock. Bathrooms were clean, a rubber duck in the tub, teddy bear in the bed, a bear ottoman in front of the fireplace. Fantastic! Those traveling in NCL can walk to the ship, just 3 minutes walking form the hotel.

Embarkation The day of embarkation was crazy, the zipper of one of our bags (the biggest one) broke, we had to walk almost all the city, from the pier to the Space Needle, from there to the shopping district looking for a store that was open at 9am, it was Sunday. We ended buying a bag in Walgreens... The line at the pier was too long, check inn was too slow, people coming from the sides of the line and going in front of you, none of the employees made anything about it. Embarkation took us like 40 to 50 minutes, horrible!

Ship: The ship was beautiful, almost new at that time. Elegant, casual, relaxed, all at the same time. A little disappointed because the decoration was exactly the same as the Golden Princess... The ship's layout was perfect, comfortable, and clean. Ambiance was nice and there were passengers from all places.
