Days 1 & 2 overall sort of pleasant, however, we were underwhelmed by the size of the Royal Family Suite, it was woefully unlash. The word 'royal' should be removed. Room size is on the small size, the bathrooms are smaller than the owners suite, the sound of patio chairs and the live band vibrating on the ceiling, this was aggravating. Nothing royal about the noise. Consider yourself warned about room #8518.Day 3 very unpleasant because of FIRE on the ship. HOWEVER, the fire team/first responders contained and eventually extinguished the fire. We lived. The staff worked their tails off to provide hospitality despite an anxious group of passengers.Day 4 at Freeport. Cruise cancelled. Nothing you can do about this, the ship was no longer seaworthy. Stuck in Freeport. Life goes on.Day 5 Flew home on chartered plane. This was a major logistical event, went relatively smooth. Props to to the staff of Royal Caribbean for being on their game, saving our lives and taking care of us during a very difficult situation.Concierge Ruth gets a gold star. She is a great listener, very responsive and made to make up for our disappointment in our cabin and a couple of other things that surfaced.
Room is right below pool deck. The sound of the lounge furniture being moved and the live band emanated into our room. It was annoying. The bathrooms were on the small side. It's an odd cabin. Will not stay in the cabin ever ever again.
