Our plane out of Seattle was delayed by about an hour. Then our connection in Houston was at 1:30 and we did not get in Houston until 1:05 and had to hoof it over to another terminal quite a ways away. When we ran up to the gate we heard them calling our name over the PA so they could close the doors. When we arrived in Puerto Rico we were not sure if our luggage made it but it did. Got a cab for $21.50 and we were on our way. We ate dinner at Escambron and had prawns in Creole sauce with rice and beans but prawns were overcooked. It was right behind the Normandie where we stayed. I would not stay here again at the price I paid.

Gary has a broken collar bone so we will need to take it easy. At fifty something an adult should stay off of a razor scooter (kids toy) especially when you are going on a cruise in a week. Kids can go over curbs and rocks adults cannot. Let's just say the neighbors thought his tuck & roll was quite good and graceful.

Puerto Rico we spent the day at San Cristobal fort and then Old San Juan. We were here 20 years ago and it has really changed. There was locks, bars and guards, bars on windows and doors. A lot of places were empty and very dirty here. Lots of Spanish influence with wrought Iron and very pastel color on buildings in Old San Juan. We ate lunch at the Sheraton in Old San Juan it was just ok. The Cuban sandwich was dry and no pickle.
